Resident Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, monitor and ensure site works are completed in good quality and compliance with contract requirements and Hong Kong legislations
- Prepare defects list for issuance to contractors and monitor defects rectification progress and results
- Coordinate design, working drawings and site works
- Supervise and monitor the work progress on site and report critical issues
- Control and monitor testing and commissioning activities
- Prepare reports and keep records of works carried out
- Supervise sub-ordinates (if any) and perform other duties on contract management as designated
- Proven and demonstrable track record
- Carry out detailed reviews (and reporting of same) of contractor shop drawings and materials submittals against the tender documents and other project requirements
- Review and comment upon any method statements prepared by the Contractor
- Responding expediently to site generated technical queries, request for information, and change requests
- Comment upon any value engineering options put forward by the Contractor in terms of technical issues, cost and programme
- Regular inspection of the installed MEP services and regular reporting of same against the contract specifications and drawings, and best practice installation standards
- Monitor and promote health and safety on the site; Record and report any breaches to the Senior Project Manager; If requited stop the construction works if unsafe practices are being followed
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Engineering, preferably in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experiences with solid site work experiences
- Experiences in Data Center New Build Projects from Design to DLP Completion is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Officer, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- With knowledge in AutoCad
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English, Chinese & Mandarin
