Assistant Manager, Data Center Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Manager to oversee data center cabling infrastructure, ensuring adherence to local safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Design and plan robust Data Center Cabling Infrastructure, encompassing Structured Cabling, Cable Containment, TBE Room, Meet Room, Riser, and Lead-in, prioritizing system flexibility, redundancy, stability, security, and sustainability.
  • Lead a service delivery team in the deployment of data center cross-connect infrastructure, including installation, testing, and commissioning for diverse projects.
  • Develop comprehensive technical proposals, presentations, RFQ documents, and drawings that integrate technical specifications, schematics, and layout plans.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to regularly review and enhance product quality used in our data center to always achieve global standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors to oversee construction activities, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings, technical discussions, and site inspections, both internally and with external stakeholders.
  • Maintain operational excellence within the Data Center cabling infrastructure, conducting regular health assessments and quality checks.

 

Requirements: 

  • Degree holder in Information Technology Management, Building Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years' working experience in the data center sector, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven expertise in designing and managing Data Center structured cabling systems and overseeing construction projects.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with experience in handling both internal and external data center projects.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities, with effective communication and presentation skills for engaging with internal and external clients at various levels.
  • Familarity with TIA-942 infrastructure standards.
  • Professional certifications such as CDCP, PMP are highly desirable
  • An independent, self-motivated individual who can deliver results without constant supervision.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Chinese and English, with proficiency in Putonghua being a beneficial asset.
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior  Engineer – Cabling Infrastructure
